Mueasa was born from a simple observation: investors spend too much time wrestling with fragmented tools and not enough time making thoughtful decisions. We set out to change that by creating a unified platform where data, analysis, and collaboration live together.

Where It All Began 🌱

Mueasa started in 2016 when a small group of former portfolio analysts in London realized they were each cobbling together spreadsheets, third-party data feeds, and separate charting tools just to get a clear picture of their holdings. The process was error-prone, time-consuming, and frustrating. They kept asking the same question: why does managing personal and professional investment research require five different applications that never talk to each other?

That frustration became the founding motivation for Mueasa. The initial prototype was a simple web application that aggregated portfolio data from multiple brokerage accounts and displayed it in a single, clean dashboard. Early users, mostly colleagues and friends in the financial industry, immediately saw the value and started requesting additional features like screening tools, risk metrics, and collaborative workspaces.

Over the following years, the product evolved from that initial prototype into a comprehensive analytics platform serving thousands of users across more than 30 countries. Each feature we added was driven by direct feedback from people who use the platform in real market conditions. We never built something just because competitors had it. Every tool in Mueasa earned its place by solving a problem our users actually told us about.

He holds a Master's degree in Financial Economics from the London School of Economics and is a CFA charterholder. 2016

Company Founded

Daniel Hargreaves and Priya Anand founded Mueasa Ltd in London with the goal of building a unified portfolio management and research platform. The initial prototype launched as a private beta with 50 users, primarily investment professionals from their professional network who provided early feedback that shaped the core product direction.

2018

Public Launch & Market Screener

After two years of private development and iterative testing, Mueasa opened to the public. The launch included the market screener with over 80 financial metrics, portfolio analytics, and basic alerting functionality. Within six months, the platform reached 2,000 registered users and established data partnerships with three major financial data providers.

2020

Risk Assessment & Research Library

The risk assessment engine launched with Value-at-Risk calculations, correlation analysis, and stress-testing scenarios. Simultaneously, we introduced the research library with curated content from independent analysts. Isabelle Moreau joined as Head of Research to establish editorial quality standards. User count passed 5,000 across 15 countries.

2022

Team Collaboration & Enterprise Tier

Responding to growing demand from wealth management firms and family offices, we introduced team collaboration features with shared workspaces, role-based permissions, and client reporting modules. The Enterprise pricing tier launched to serve organizations with multiple users. We also achieved SOC 2 Type II certification, validating our security practices for institutional clients.

Where We Are Today

Mueasa now serves over 12,400 active users tracking more than $2.4 billion in assets across 34 countries. The platform integrates with over 200 financial institutions, offers 120+ screening metrics, and maintains a 98.7% uptime record. Our team of 38 employees operates from our London headquarters, with remote team members across Europe. How We Build Products ⚙️

Our product development process centers on a belief that financial software should be tested with real users in real scenarios before it reaches general availability. We do not rely on assumptions about what investors want. Instead, we observe how they work, listen to the friction points they describe, and design solutions that address those specific challenges.

Every new feature begins as a hypothesis that goes through structured user interviews, prototype testing, and data analysis before engineering work starts. This approach means we build fewer features overall, but the ones we do build tend to achieve high adoption rates and generate positive feedback from the people who use them daily.

Our engineering team operates in two-week development cycles with regular quality reviews. Security and performance are evaluated as part of every release, not as separate processes. We run automated testing across more than 4,000 test cases and conduct manual quality assurance on any feature that touches financial calculations or user data.
